You can quickly jump to another Month and Year, by placing your cursor over the "Up" and "Down" arrows (Next to the Month and Year windows), and then Right Clicking. This opens a dialogue box where you can choose the Month, and step through the Years by using the "<<" and ">>" buttons.

OPTIONS SCREENEXPLANATIONTIPS
Open the Options screen by clicking on the OPTIONS button on the Main Screen.

This is the area where you ALLOCATE images to specific dates. i.e. You can decide which image you would like to see on which date (or range of dates). You can also, DOWNLOAD new images from the 3six5 website, and ADD new images into your calendar.   [TOP]
I

ALLOCATE is the function you use to decide which pictures you would like to see on which days. There are three possibilities... Day, User Defined, and Month.
DAY  This allocates the chosen image just to the single selected date.
USER DEFINED  Allows you to select any range of consecutive days, within a single month.
MONTH   A single image is displayed on every day of the selected month.   [TOP]
I
Images that you download from 3six5 are generally WITHOUT any allocation dates. (i.e. They are not linked to any special date.) If you leave them without allocation information, they will appear each day at random, as explained in the Main Screen section of this Help file. (Or of course you can allocate them to any date you want.)
 I
 HOW TO ALLOCATE DATES

How to allocate a picture to a single day.

  • Open the Options screen using the OPTIONS button on the Main Screen.
  • Using the calendar, choose the day you want to allocate a picture to. (Move between Months and Years using the "Up" and "Down" controllers, or Right Click whilst your cursor is over them, to open the shortcut window ).
  • Select DAY from the "Allocation" buttons.

  • Choose which picture you want from the preview frame on the right hand side. (Using the drop down list to select the image's name.)
  • When you've found the picture you want, click on the ALLOCATE button. (You will now see a small version of the chosen picture superimposed on the date you selected.
  • Now you can either close the Options window, or move on to allocate more pictures.)   [TOP]

  • I
You can also use the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys on your keyboard to move though the list of images.

Before you move onto another date, or close the Options window, you can still move through the list of images. As you do so, you will notice that the small "thumbnail" version on the calendar keeps updating. Using this method you can continue to change your mind, up until the point when you either select another date, or close the Options window.
I

How to allocate a picture to several consecutive days.
  • Open the Options screen by clicking on the OPTIONS button on the Main Screen.
  • Using the displayed calendar, select the date that you want to be the first day for the picture. (Move between Months and Years using the "Up" and "Down" controllers, or Right Clicking whilst your cursor is over them, to open the shortcut window ).

  • Choose the picture you want from the preview window. (Using the drop down list to select the image name.)
  • Select USER DEFINED from the "Allocation" buttons.
  • Position your cursor over the date you want to be the last day for that picture.
  • Hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard, and at the same time  Click your mouse. (You will now see a small versions of the chosen picture superimposed on all the dates you selected.) When that process is finished, you can either close the window, or move on to allocate more pictures.)   [TOP]
I
You can also click inside the name field under the picture, and then use the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys on your keyboard to move though the list of images. Also, instead of selecting the User Defined button, you can go straight to holding down the Ctrl key. (The "User Defined" button will automatically be selected.)

Also, before you close the Options window, you can still move through the list of images. As you do so, you will notice that the small "thumbnail" versions on the calendar keeps updating. Using this method you can continue to change your mind, up until the point when you either select another date, or close the Options window.

How to allocate a picture to a Month.
  • Open the Options screen using the OPTIONS button on the Main screen.
  • Select the Month you want to allocate a picture to by clicking on any day within that month. You can move between Months and Years using the "Up" and "Down" controllers, or Right Clicking whilst your cursor is over them, to open the shortcut window ).

  • Select MONTH from the "Allocation" buttons.
  • Choose the picture you want from the Preview window. (Using the drop down list to select the image name.
  • When you've found the picture you want, click on ALLOCATE. (You will now see a small version of the chosen picture superimposed over the whole month that you selected.
  • Now you can either close the window, or move on to allocate more pictures.)   [TOP]

  •
You can also click inside the name field under the picture, and then use the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys on your keyboard to move though the list of images.

You can allocate a picture to the whole month, and then still add "User Defined" pictures, or single days within that month. e.g. You might have a general picture for the month, but would like to have a special picture on a specific date.
To do that, follow the "How to allocate a picture to a Month" instructions, and then add either "User Defined"  or single "Day" pictures.
I

 How to Clear a picture.

  • Open the Options screen using the OPTIONS button on the Main screen.
  • Click on the small thumbnail representation of the image that you want to clear its allocation. (If it is a DAY allocation then just the selected image will be effected. If it is either a USER DEFINED, or MONTH allocated image, then the relevant number of days will automatically be selected.
  • Click the CLEAR button. (You will see the allocated thumbnails disappear.)
  • Now you can either close the window, or move on to clear or allocate more pictures.)  [TOP]

I

How to Add images to your calendar.

3six5 images are delivered as twelve images bundled together in one file... or "pack". Whether you receive your images via the Internet, or by physical means such as CD or floppy disc, the process for adding them to your 3six5 is the same.

  • Make sure that the "packs" are moved or copied into the Packs folder. (If you used the default installation, the 3six5 folder is inside the Media Technologie folder on your C: Drive. i.e. (C:\Program Files\Media Technologie\3six5\Packs) If you chose a different path, please locate the 3six5 folder yourself.)
  • Open the Options screen using the OPTIONS button on the Main screen.

  • Click on the ADD button, and then select the pack you want to open from the list of available packs.
  • Next comes the "Winzip Self Extractor" dialogue box.
If you made a normal installation of 3six5 then you can just click on "Unzip"
Your new images will automatically be inserted into the correct folder.
NB. If you chose a different path for the installation of 3six5, please locate your "Packs" folder using the Browse button on the "Winzip Self Extractor" dialogue box. YOU MUST DO THIS  BEFORE YOU CLICK "Unzip" otherwise the images will be saved into the wrong folder.
If you are loading several packs, just repeat the same process.  [TOP]
If you want to permanently delete images from your calendar, go to the Stills folder (C:\Program Files\Media Technologie\3six5\Media) and delete the files you no longer require. You can read the name of the picture as the second entry between the ^ symbols. (e.g. 37^Test Picture^...)

NB. The deleted images will not be removed from the Images List until the next time you open 3six5
